2007 - 2008 Hancock Leadership Class
These individuals are future community leaders to be proud of. The Special Kids Therapy Multi-Sensory Playroom as it is today would not have been possible without their energy, determination, skills and positive attitude.
The 2008 Hancock Leadership Class has provided a special place for children with special health care needs for many years. You should be proud!! Thank you!
Ann Gibson was a best friend to all SKT children. She loved them all and they loved her. Ann volunteered for SKT Summer Day Camp, Family Fun Day and was excited about the multi-purpose playroom. She shared her own pond and gardens with the kids during Summer Day Camp.
Not only did the kids love “Annie” but she was respected and well liked by all the SKT volunteers. Annie passed away on January 19, 2008. She touched us all and will be remembered for the very special person she was.
Civitan contributes to SKT throughout the year. SKT receives financial support for Hancock County Events and scholarships. A special group of people bringing joy to many children.
Mariann Younger generously donated funding to SKT so that we could give our Multi-Sensory Playroom a new design. SKT was able to increase our Playrooms visual stimulation by transforming half of the room into a pre-historic world with a 3D Brachiosaurus & a no-mess dinosaur sandbox. The other half of the room is now dedicated to the solar system & space aviation, complete with a Mission Control Center equipped with iPads!
The Findlay - Hancock County Community Foundation
The Findlay – Hancock County Community Foundation has financially supported Special Kids Therapy on a number of projects and offers valuable training and other resources. Special Kids Therapy would not be able to offer our Out-of-the-Box Afterschool Programming without the support of our Community Foundation.
